Discover diverse Brussels And walk along with ORBIT on March 25th


Brussels is the capital of Europe, and for millions of tourists, the city of waffles, Manneke Pis and the Atomium. But Brussels is much more than what the touristic tours make it out to be. In this super diverse city, up till now, racism remains a bitter reality for many Brusseleirs. At the same time, Brusseleirs of many different colors work together to overcome prejudices and build a shared future.
On the occasion of the International day against racism, ORBIT launched a contest to capture this side of Brussels in a guided tour. On Wednesday 25 March, you can walk along with one of the three most inspiring walks. Did you for instance know that the capital has more than 50 stumbling blocks to commemorate people that were deported by the Nazis? And that Brussels has the biggest and oldest asylum seekers center of the country?
