On January 23, 2015 to the fleet of “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines” arrived an aircraft BOEING 737-800NG. The plane was bought by “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines” in operating leasing for 6 years according to the contract with the leasing company AERCAP PARTNERS I LIMITED. This is the first aircraft of this type in the fleet of the airlines. Planes of the line BOEING 737 NG (NextGeneration) are more economical and are able to operate flights for longer distances compared with the previous generation, to which belong planes BOEING 737-300,-500, already present in the fleet of “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines”.
The plane arrived to Minsk after maintenance operations before placement into service by “Belavia – Belarusian Airlines”.
Purchase of this aircraft will give opportunity to the airlines to develop transportations both on regular and charter directions. Economic efficiency of BOEING 737-800NG will allow reducing costs for transportations, which will benefit the reduction of price of flights.
